Welcome to Day 2 of the SKINGLOWFILES!

Now that your skincare space is reset and your routine feels simpler, today’s workshop shifts the focus toward understanding how skin actually functions. Yesterday helped establish your starting point. Today begins the deeper learning.

When you understand how skin works beneath the surface, everyday changes in hydration, oil levels, and texture start to make much more sense. This knowledge makes it easier to choose products, build routines, and respond to what your skin needs over time. Let’s dive into today’s topic!

Why Your Skin Feels Different From Day to Day

Your skin is a living organ that is constantly responding to what is happening inside the body and in the surrounding environment. Hydration levels shift, oil production changes, and skin cells are continuously renewing themselves. These processes happen throughout the day and are influenced by factors such as temperature, hormones, sleep, and daily habits.

Because of this, your skin rarely looks or feels exactly the same from morning to evening. You might notice that your skin feels comfortable after cleansing in the morning, slightly shiny by midday, or a little drier in the evening. These shifts are part of how skin regulates itself.

Understanding that skin is dynamic helps make sense of these changes. Instead of viewing every fluctuation as a problem, it becomes easier to recognize the signals your skin is giving and respond to them more thoughtfully. Let’s take a deeper look…

To understand what your skin needs, it helps to understand how it is built. Skin is made up of several layers that work together to protect the body, regulate moisture, and maintain strength and resilience. Each layer plays a different role, and together they create the surface we see and care for every day.
